Katy, Texas, a suburban city outside of Houston, was officially established in 1945. Until the late 1800's, Katy was known as "Cane Island" for the canes that grew out of the creek in the area. This fast-growing city offers plenty of activities for your enjoyment. Katy has many beautiful parks for those who enjoy relaxing outdoors.
